Youngest Divine Almost Gets Run Down, Part One A, I hope.

(This is Part One A. To recap I'm having blogger problems and so yesterday's events are going up in sections so they don't disappear again. Two sections of the notes follow this one. Part One not A will preceed this one when recreated.)

2:29pm Youngest attempts to flap up on a parked car but slides off, tries again same problem. Back in the street, the two good Samaritans, and I attempt to stop traffic again. A white BMW with MD plates passes another car in front of The Plant Pavilion going south and comes roaring towards Youngest. Youngest scuttles toward the curb, the car brakes as more humans run into the street.

2:30pm Youngest makes it to the wall, but tries twice to jump up and falls back.

On the third try she manages to stick and sits like this for some minutes.

Youngest tries unsuccessfully to leap onto higher perch.

2:52pm Settling in, Youngest with Catbird screaming behind her head.

3:25pm Youngest still in the bushes being scolded by Catbirds. Quite amazing how many pedestrians walk past her without seeing her. Especially given the cacophany of bird sound. The Catbirds are so excited by this point they've begun to hop through the fence and scream at the people as they go by, as well as screaming at the hawk.

Did the younger fledgling get fed? Is s/he still on the ground? I'm confused. (not your fault.)

Donna, wonderful step-by-step photos of the youngest getting through the fence!

Poor youngest -- not having a very good time yet out of the nest!

:-)))
