Dear Donna,

I am so sorry to hear of Eleanor's passing. I have read so much about her on the hawk blogs. She seemed to be quite a special lady.

The first time I came to Central Park it was Eleanor who showed me how to get to the Gill and where Azalea Pond was. She taught me to listen for the squirrels and scolding birds when hunting hawks.

Eleanor shared the joy. She was not competitive. She loved.
