And you are spot on. They ARE incredibly invasive and quite useless for wildlife compared to native plants.
I work doing burns every Spring and try to make sure we do our best to make sure this patch gets fried. But every year they come back, though so far the patch isn't increasing in size so at least we've got a draw going.
That picture did my heart good. They are incredibly invasive in my area.
