The Langer Farm, Rock County WI-- Red Milkweed bugs and Bumble Bees.
The larger environment of this particular Milkweed plant-
unmowed verges, crop fields, numerous species of wildlife.
Immediate neighbors, non-native thistle and Queen Anne's Lace. (Later in the day.)

I saw what I think was purple milkweed walking along the natural waterfront of the Eastern north shore of Lake Erie. There was a beautiful little patch of wildflowers along the shoreline. Saw dragonflies but no Monarchs; perhaps they had already headed south.
